Overview

The Center for Research on Learning and Teaching in Engineering (CRLT‑Engin) represents a partnership between the College of Engineering and the main CRLT office (www.crlt.umich.edu). Established in 2004, CRLT-Engin is located on North Campus and is staffed by experienced engineering educators who work in close collaboration with College of Engineering faculty and administrators. Services provided by CRLT-Engin and the main CRLT office include:

  • College-wide programs to promote a culture of teaching and learning in engineering;
  • A comprehensive range of services (including orientation programs, classroom interventions, and consultations) for engineering faculty and GSIs at all levels of their career;
  • National leadership to enhance the visibility of U-M in engineering education; and
  • Research in engineering education to explore issues related to teaching and learning in engineering.
